    the fly

I tried for about 15 minutes to get a photo of a hoverfly
I wanted to catch one mid hover, but I ran out of patience.

However what I did get is in some ways better.
At least I think so ... what do you think?

    Exposure time: 1/6
    Shutter speed: 1/6.00
    F-stop: 9.0
    ISO speed: 100
    Focal length: 400.0000

I wondered from your other post what this was but it makes for an interesting visual.

Again, shocked I say, shocked that there weren't auto pics involved. Enjoy the new lens. Hope it works out better than the Sigma (which I'm about to post about in the appropriate post).

Very striking visually and the sense of motion makes this image work for me, beautiful colours and just generally interesting, well done!

    Re: the fly

    Thank you both !

Looks like the lens is here to stay
Must try some night time car racing shots now.
Perhaps even go to the local motorway and test on the headlights.before the Zolder 24h

I like this a lot! The sense of motion is great. This is clearly a very small subject matter and you have made it look large and alive. Very cool
