    Welcome...

    Welcome to PR.com..
I hope you learn as much as possible..

It is rather difficult to figure out this photo, it is very out of focus.

    Keep shooting!

Is this on Jagr's chicken farm?

Seriously though, welcome to the board. I would say that, while I understand the points of contrast that you're trying to highlight (the chicken and flower?), there's too much empty space in the middle of this frame. You need to make the subject a little more obvious and prominent size-wise. Not a bad idea though... sometimes using a low DOF gives a very interesting mood to a shot.

    Hi,

I agree with the other posts. I think if the out-of-focus subject had been less interesting, this picture might work better, but the eye is drawn to the chicken first and then wonders to the area which is in focus. However, it seems like the chicken is the more interesting subject, so I would reverse the focus on this picture. Or, keep the flower where you have it, but avoid the chicken, so that the eye is drawn into the corner with focus. Nice idea, though.

I see someone's been practicing! Your main focus is hiding in the corner and running off the page. What should be the focus (the chicken) is so badly lost in the sea of empty space that is the folliage. Nice try.
