Not quite enticing to me. Is that dust between the arm and the main part of the frames, I don't find the angle attractive personally.

hi Bajan yes that is dust and dirt from 10 years of good wear and tear on those shades. i thought the angle was alright but thanks alot for the critique of my first fun ad. any suggestions to improve something like this..? or just trash it and carry forward with life

    Stuntboy:

On second look i'm not so sure its the angle but probably the white reflection in the lenses that draws the viewers eyes away from the subject. Try putting something black or very dark so that the reflection is not as distracting.

It's great to keep experimenting! Not everything will work perfectly, but with practice you'll get there.

I think with an "ad" such as you're attempting to do here, all lines should be crisp and clean, all surfaces glossy and with perfect reflections.

The background works well, but the image itself shows the wear and tear. You don't want to glamourize something with signs of wear; if you want to use its ruggedness and durability as a selling point, put it in a situation where it looks like it's survived the worst with only a few bumps and scratches.

    JMHO.

thanks kelly...really it was just a bored night and photoshop that made me do it. thought people might look passed the wear and tear on the shades...but i was wrong. i hear you 2 about the wear on the shades, i myself thought that might be a problem. i will try again with a cleaner product thanks for commenting
