    Morning on the Tarmac II

I shoot people too once in a while

Your thoughts on this one will be most definitely appreciated. Same place/setting/equipment as the others. Just a few more minutes later.

Shooting people is something I'm trying to do more of. . .i think this works well. I like the bright blown out portion on the left and feel it is an asset to this image rather than a fault. The scene is a not so typical shot . Good stuff

A lovely shot and as Gary said the blown out areas work to complement the rest. How come your not in lock up being questioned or did you get permission?. You would be locked up for questioning in the UK.

I like how all the people are active except for the nearest two - obviously the supervisors : and all that hi-tech equipment they use.

I take it your under the plane taking this shot?

Loup---I'm gonna take the opposite tack and say I think the blown out left corner distracts me. O/W an interesting shot. How'd you get permission?

Re: Morning on the Tarmac II

Thanks, gentlemen. I was particularly interested in how people would take that blown out portion on the left. I was stuck there quickly trying to decide whether to expose for the highlights or for the shadows. I chose more towards the shadows so as not to render the people as stark silhouettes and to get more detail on the belly of the jet. The trade off of course was blowing out that reflection. But this is more representative of how it looked that clear/bright morning.

Roger/John, this was during a making of a TV commercial that I was a part of. More pictures of the actual set is posted in this thread:

    Thanks again!
