one of my pet peeves is things being slight cut off, like on her left side, the nice pattern is cutoff abruptly. the lighting looks fine to me, though i'm not an expert in this. i'm not sure if the brown triangle shape over her right shoulder helps or hinders this. there seems there's a bit of a perspective shift in the bg also. the lines on the right aren't going straight up and down. they seem tilted.

    Sorry, I'm a bit confused...what nice pattern?

Also, the lines on the bg are very old wooden doors, so they're never gonna look straight because they're not straight haha.

lol. ok forget the wooden doors then.

the pattern i'm talking about is the stuff on top of her dress, the curly thing, sorry don't know what they call those decorative things on dresses. the right side is cut slightly.

oh and I think i confused you by saying her left side, which is our right. and the brown triangle shape i was talking about on her right shoulder, is to our left. that might have been the problem, sorry.

His talking about the thing in red I coloured it just in case.

I agree with Leel the lines are tilted, I think its a bit distracting though but overall the image is great.

Very nice. The only things I'd say about this shot is that you generally want to crop people at mid limb. You don't want to cut off limbs at elbows, knees, wrists and ankles. It always looks more natural if you crop in the middle of the forearm and thighs, etc...

Otherwise, you've got nice light and a good shot here.

Great light! Is that just window light or are you using some fill? Either way, it's wonderful. I might lighten up her face a touch and add a tiny bit of contrast to make her face pop a little more. But other than that it's very, very nice. I was going to say crop it tighter from the top and then I remembered that you said this is for a magazine cover

I like you image here, the warm tones work IMO, though the color scheme seems unconventional. Maybe a perfect Easter-time image. I am not super happy about the window drapes, they seem a tad distracting to me. I wonder if cropping in would add even more impact to this image, as the model's beauty and expression really make the shot. The outfit is great too.

Congrats on landing the assignment! A number of nit-picks have been addressed already, but I'd really like to see it with the copy in place, as they may or may not be relevant once text covers half the image. I do love the lighting, especially what's reflected in from the right side of the frame.

could use a bit more pop... I would suggest to send it to a professional photo editor .
