    Long walk home...

Took this pic while heading back from the Sacred Valley in Peru. The landscape alone was magnificent but when this man came strolling along it made the moment! Thoughts?

    Re: Long walk home...

Very nice picture! I like the composition, colors and the DOF in this picture. One nit pick. I think it would go along more with the name or title if he was walking away from you where you could see that he actually did have a long way to walk.. In this picture you really don't know if the house is just off frame on the left or right and he has come out to check his mail at the road and spotted something that he went over to look at and is on his way back, Jeff

I tend to disagree with Jeff, whether he actually walked that whole way is immaterial, it implies he walked it. This is a fine storytelling image with excellent composition. Love that the shadow doesn't exit the frame on the right, the vivid but not oversaturated color, the overall sharpness. This one works all the way through for me

I agree with Jet. It looks as though he had walked a pretty good distance. Up hill. Both ways. You just can imagine the walk of the road in the background. Sharp photo. I like the DOF and well thought composition.

    Re: Long walk home...

He looks so small probably due to the magnificent landscape.
I'm not sure about his position but the shot was well worth taking.
    Beautiful sky and background.

Thanks guys... This was taken prac in the middle of no where. I had to tell the tour guide to stop. We pulled over and this guy was slowly making his way down the road from a distance. The road winded through the meadow out of view. I abs love this pic... could be an all time fav!
