I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
Nice shot stuntboy! i saw you publish lots of great photos. do you practice photography as a job or a hobby? And if it's not your job, when do you find all the time to find all this beautiful subjects . impressive shot !! i like it. i would[ve thake more water on the bottom though
I think you could get two or three stronger images by concentrating the photo on elements of the lock, or where the lock and water meet or use the top girders to enhance or frame the warning signs.
This is pretty good, needs a some lightening/brightening/saturation but overall a really good subject! Do you have other images from this lock?
thank you all for the comments on the locks...here is an uncropped version of this picture. i cropped like in the first post because i hate railings in images, i tried to lighten it up a bit but this all i could do seeing how the weather around here has been so gray. i will be going back to try and capture this image better following the critiques i have seen here. next time i hope for better weather and also hope to capture the locks all in one shot.
