Least Grebe

Don’t see many of these little guys up this far north (Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, TX) but I spotted one yesterday while out shooting. I also saw some ruby-crowned kinglets and blue-gray gnatcatchers. Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Not bad, best one is the bottom image with the blue bg. Nicely composed except for the branch in the fg blurring the birds feet. The middle shot bothers me how the branch is slicing the frame almost in half from top to bottom, and the first shot just seems a bit too far out and not a great angle. All in all nice shots and great looking birds.

AH.... yes your PHOTOGRAPHIC points may be correct but.... LEAST GREBE is a RARE BIRD in the US I too found my first and only Least grebe in.... BRAZOS BEND 4 years ago

Is that gnatcatcher a black tailed variety like those of the arizona range or the normal variety from the north on winter vacation?
