    Re: Leap

What an adorable little critter you have there!

You have caught him (her?) very nicely at the top of his leap, and I like the way you have given lots of space on the right. Movement shots are often ruined by too tightly cropping and you have nicely avoided that. For a white dog you have also avoided too much 'burn out' (although it is pretty close).

My one thought is that there isn't a lot of separation between the dog and the ground to give a real sense of soaring. Partly this is due to the angle I think, although you have got pretty low. I am not sure how best to rectify this, except perhaps to play around with the relative tones of the dog and the ground to give a bit of tonal separation?

    Cheers

What a bounder, I agree with Mike and would try and darken the floor to make the dog pop a little more.

It's a terrific photo though and perhaps getting lower would have nailed it into the perfect category.

I agree with Roger and Mike. Also the highlights are clipping some. Always shoot to preserve highlights the shadows are much easier to correct for. What a great looking Dog, happy too.

As said wonderful shot and main points covered. With her scooting at you like this getting the eyes sharp was never going to be easy, but a little PP work there might help.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Lovely little fellow. Love everything about it, the focus is a bit confusing , It feels like the ground is right on, why the dog is a bit off. It could be a colour illusion also, white dog vs. brown ground. That being said, it's a great capture.

Ha ha - great capture. Not super super sharp but definitely not bad either, esp considering how the model won't take direction Nice composition too. Try another but from a little lower angle.
