    Oficina del noche

Don't know about this one. Does the centeredness kill it?

Liban the only thing seems strange are the two guys far left. If you could eliminate one or both of them? Other than that it's good to go. I am glad to see you posting again.

I like the picture. Everytime I see those old cars in your pictures I think about the high value over here in the U.S. People would kill to have those cars!

I'm really enjoying your work, but in this pic I find myself wishing there were no people in the shot as I don't see them as really contributing to the overall photo.

Don't know what you changed in your processing but the quality your are getting is brilliant !!!

I do not mind the blurred people

What I think doesn't favor the image is the noise in the sky

Tack sharp wonderful shot, really like this one even the blurry people add to it. Tilted a bit to the left though , funny how it's easier to spot this on someone else's shot than your own ....

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Thanks Greg, those will be hard to remove.

    Thanks a lot Ridgetop.

Armando, I've reworked my PP and separate the image in to two parts now. I generate a very good tonal range black and white image. And then I put the normal colour image as a 'colour' layer option on top. So I get the best black and white tones while keeping my original colour. Thanks a lot.

Pete, I know what you mean. I can also see other people's tilt in no time. lol. Mine? never. Thank you!

I really like it. For me the people are fine. This is not a photo of the car. The car is part of the picture. The title says it all. "The office at night". That is what the picture is about so the people should be there.

    Only my opinion you understand...

I really like this capture and especially the treatment. The subject is great and the technique is perfect for the subject.

I’ll try this at some point.

Speaking of technique, photoshop (CS5) offers a quick procedure one to help you find when an image is vertical.

    1) Right click on the eye dropper tool and select the ruler tool

    2) Use the ruler tool to draw a line along a vertical axis of an object, such as one of the columns.

    3) Select Edit > Transform > Rotate, and photoshop will rotate the image so that it is vertical, according to the line you drew. It will also do this if you draw a horizontal line.

Lightroom has a great way to level out shots too by drawing a line on something in the photo that should be straight.
I like the shot quite a bit. I'm often not fond of centered subjects but it works here. The people work well to IMO; they are part of the setting. Nice work!

    Re: Oficina del noche

    Liban,

Nice work. Not sure if this is a portfolio shot, but it's certainly close. The lighting is very good though I wish the sidewalk on the far left wasn't as bright (may be correctable). Great timing as far as when you shot it - about 20-30 after sunset? The sky isn't pick dark so everything has a little detail, almost seems like an HDR.

Would it be better w/o the people? Hard to say.. in some ways they add to the shot, but it would be a 'lonelier' shot w/o them, perhaps creating a different feeling that with the people in the image.

Two things technically that might be improved: as you mentioned below the image, not sure about how the car is so centered, and to me it seems like the image needs to be rotated a bit CW. The former is OK w/ the people in there I guess, and the latter is probably due to way the ground is slightly sunken close to the curb, making the car aim downward a bit. That creates the feeling of a lean to the left.

Anyway, as Armando said, looks like you're really nailing the processing! Looks like a slight desaturation and color shift, and it works.
