    Just a bunch of ..

dirt, trees, scrub, trail, and sky. Taken near the eastern AZ/Utah border in late December. Anything? This one's an hdr btw (5-shot).

Amazing colors! I have to agree though, the branches on the left almost make this look like two different pictures. Sharp images though. Very nicely done.

Really nice and subtle HDR here. Everything looks great except the tree on the left, I wish that wasn't there. Nicely done.

Crop from the left into an 4x5 format (also eliminating the branches) and you have a gorgeous photo.
    well done.

I think you guys are right: cropping out the left branches really makes it a lot stronger. Not sure what the image ratio is now, but it does look better.

I agree that this one hardly looks like an HDR ... but that's the way I mostly like them Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Jet and Charlotte. Yeah, it is amazing what eliminating just one thing from a pic can do. I had no idea to do this when looking at the original; shows that it pays to post and listen.

Charlotte, I think you may love the desert

Thanks fellows. It lost a little of its sharpness in the HDR process (I still need to read VMLopes' tutorial in the PP forum - he seems to have this down pat). Otherwise, I like it now too.
