    Todd,

    An interesting shot. I love the DOF, but the one beaded thing that comes into the close foreground and is not in focus is distracting. Other than that, I love the colors and the textures.

    Yes, beautiful use of shallow DOF to keep the viewer's interest. Amazing what one can find to make a good photograph.
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

    Okay, I know this isn't going to sound good, but where is the interesting element? I have enjoyed many of your other pics, but this seems to depart from your norm. It looks like there is an interesting pattern with the beads and string, but I can't make it out, and that is annoying . I have found that still life photography is difficult, and you have to work very hard to get what you want. Keep up the good work.

    Glad I can keep you on your toes Your second image is a lot strong IMO. Great DOF, and a nice pattern. Very well done, and I love these 'earthly' tones.
