    Jefferson Memorial from the water

Went out and did a very touristy thing with the family this week. We rented a paddle boat and went for a scoot around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. I thought it was an excellent opportunity for an alternative view of the TJ Memorial. Here's one from the afternoon that I like.

Comments and critiques welcomed, suggestions cheerfully explored.

I would clone out the lights above the trees, the bright white seen through the trees on the left, and the whilte point (light?) above hte brown building in the gap between the trees.
All are tiny points of distraction away from the subject - that is great I agree.

Ditto with what John wrote, Even Mother Nature helped here. Super composition.

Thank you for taking the time to respond John Wombat and Greg. I appreciate the kind words. I took your suggestion SW and cloned out the bits. Personally I had wondered if anyone would mention the light poles but I missed those white shine through bits completely. Three pairs of glasses you say? Were you wearing them all at the same time? (J/K:lol At this resolution that's an eye for detail! Here's a version with your suggestions, you are absolutely right they were distracting, thanks for helping me see.
