While not taking pictures of fish last Saturday I actually took some photos of butterflies. This is one of my favorites. Let me know what you think.

I would crop off about half of the empty space above the butterfly.This will move the butterfly up some and keep it from being in the center. You might try adding a little contrast and sharpening, great photo, Jeff

The softness works here. I like the colors and am glad to see that you were able to get this shot off. He would have flown on me

I agree that the composition could use a little work. I am not sure exactly what to do, though. I guess I would go about it by cropping in, taking a look, then cropping more, taking a look .. until you get a creative viewpoint. I might also clone out that stem behind and above him, which sort of detracts.
