Image from my New Minolta Maxxum 70 - My Nephew

I would appreciate any comments on the following photo.

    Likes/Dislikes.
    What would you change?
    What would you do differently?

The image was scanned in from my Epson Perfection 1660, so please pay no attention to the poor scan quality.

    Any critique welcome.

The interesting pose makes this shot. A histogram adjustment to expand the tonal range and a crop to move the subject off center is about all I'd suggest in the way of improvement. Isn't it great to have such willing models? I'll bet his folks like this shot.

It's too gray. If you've had some real blacks and whites maybe this picture would have looked a lot better.
What do you mean 'how come photographers are so ugly all the time'? That's because they never have to stand in front of the camera.

I tried my hand at using the burn tool. Perhaps that could be the problem. When I have some time, I'll post the original.

    Thanks for the comments.
