    Icelandic mountains

    Hi,

Took this a few weeks ago in Iceland, can't remember where. Either way, I liked the real mountains being situation beyond a little model of the mountains they had at the rest stop.

Thoughts? Wasn't sure where exactly to focus, or how to crop it.

    Re: Icelandic mountains

it would have been nicer if you used a smaller aperture so everything was in focus, as is, only the middle is in focus and I do not think it works for a landscape photo

a portrait orientation would be probably nicer, there is to much foreground , and to much sky, also the view is a bit narrow leaving me wanting to see more to the sides.

    the light is nice !

Agree with Armando, especially the horizontal idea. I'm trying to match the mountains in the model with real mountains, but with no luck. Maybe a horizontal would help? Or, does the model represent a far larger area?

i agree, the depth of field for this type of shot, doesn't usually work this shallow.. needs to be sharp through out. and i think a horizontal (landscape) shot would've been better at giving us a little more than there is here. that being said, i like the tonality of this, those brown/ blue tones are very appealing.
