    Thumbs up those mountains

    hi,

A few of many images I took on a recent trip with a friend posting for C & C. I notice these look somewhat different in the browser than adobe or other professional viewer, even though the color space is the same. I guess everyone already knows that here though.

i like the composition. look very great. But maybe u can adjust a little for the contrast?
Edit a little bit in photoshop or other software to make it more "come out" for the color?

Good sky. Play with saturation and contrast but I don't think it would need much if any.
I like the first better because the dominant peak isn't centered.

They are beautiful mountains but both images look like you, your software or the camera boosted the sharpness and contrast way too much.

Both of these are nice compositions, I like the amount of sky to mountains to foreground. Either would work well.

You should get that stupid copyright notice out of the center of the image and while you are at it make it smaller.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Thanks for the reply!

Ah yes the sharpness was a bit high in camera though I didn't realize it at the time and was also shot with a lens known to be high in contrast, plus I probably did boost the contrast too much ;/

Sorry on copyright it is meant to be a bit hard to ignore, I had a problem in the past with someone using an image of mine and there ultimately was nothing I could do about it. So I try to make sure it can't happen again. I could probably make it smaller though and still not have to worry the image could cropped, I'm paranoid now.

    thanks

Thanks! Ahh okay so you think saturation is a bit low, and too much contrast you mean.

Eric - They are straightforward shots but seems very expansive and powerful. I think the tonal quality of the shots (esp # 2) is what is so appealing, and the detail is also quite good, though there is some softness to both of them. I prefer # 2; it is lighter in the shadow areas and therefore provides the viewer more info. It also places the areas into thirds quite nicely.
