I like the subject, I like the frame up. I feel a bit more dof would help. looks like you shot this wide open, or zoomed in from far away. I notice that while the front edge of the roof is sharp, the front "wall" with the opening is starting to lose focus and it's only inches beyond the focal point. I would have liked to see more in sharp focus, especially some of the snow towrds the front. And had there been a bird evident inside, well. . .say no more. good eye and subject though.
I now know why I kept coming back to this photo and not understanding what was wrong. Its the DOF.
I do like the subject and the colours are great its just the DOF.
