Wow, got to love the true B&W tones, strong contrast, the missing pieces look like a mirror! Very interesting. I can't decide that I'm bothered by the blown out corners or not, just a tid bit burned if anything at all. I think I agree with Frog about more of the bottom showing.
I like it framed like it is. I think for me sometimes when you concentrate on getting everything in the frame you loose the impact you get from a closer shot, The way it is now I am looking down a fence with an opening in it instead of looking at a hole in the fence, if that makes any since, As it is the missing boards contribute too the picture instead of being the main focus of it,
Just my pennies worth of thought, Jeff

I agree shooting portrait and putting more of the hole in the shot would have helped. I like the choice of B&W on this. Looks like you and the Minolta get along fine. Nice work Don.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
Thanks Granpa and Greg. I love the Minolta except that I'm not used to weight of those old SLRs. The thing with the long lens nearly breaks my back. I put a wrist strap on it attached to the shoulder strap and hockey tape in the front to increase friction because they are deathly hard to hold.
