    Hawk at Barber

    I love this photo! Itried for about a year to get him! I am still trying out editing programs but I think this one is ok. Any thoughts? I am new to this board

    That is a great catch and composition. The overall image has a bit of a grey look that you could easily change but overall I think this one is wonderful.

    Have you posted this in the Nature/Wildlife Forum?

    Well done. Good use of fast shutter speed to capture the action. No obstructions in the composition. And to get him looking right at the camera -- that's what really makes this shot. I agree the colors are a bit heavy on the yellow/green. You can easily correct this in Photoshop. Very nice job. Welcome to the Photo Critique forum.

    Thank you! I didnt know about the Nature/Wildlife, I will post it there, sorry! He was looking at the camera because I was about to be lunch I think lol I took it and ran

    I agree with Freedom1500 and Greg about how much the hawk looking at the camera adds to the shot.

    Thanks so much! I had been shooting him up in his nest and I got his attention and next thing I know he is flying right at me lol He is a Red Tailed Hawk and is bigger than I thought!

    Looks great with all the feathers spread out including the tail feathers.
