I love this photo! Itried for about a year to get him! I am still trying out editing programs but I think this one is ok. Any thoughts? I am new to this board :)

Re: Hawl at Barber
That is a great catch and composition. The overall image has a bit of a grey look that you could easily change but overall I think this one is wonderful.
Have you posted this in the Nature/Wildlife Forum?

Re: Hawl at Barber
Well done. Good use of fast shutter speed to capture the action. No obstructions in the composition. And to get him looking right at the camera -- that's what really makes this shot. I agree the colors are a bit heavy on the yellow/green. You can easily correct this in Photoshop. Very nice job. Welcome to the Photo Critique forum.

I agree with Freedom1500 and Greg about how much the hawk looking at the camera adds to the shot.

Re: Hawk at Barber
Thanks so much! I had been shooting him up in his nest and I got his attention and next thing I know he is flying right at me lol He is a Red Tailed Hawk and is bigger than I thought!

I love that he is looking right at the camera. I can't really see any negatives about the picture. Good job.
