    Hands

    I recently took this photo at my grandmother's 85th birthday party. It is her and her brother. What do you think? Thanks for your opinions!

    I love the concept behind this image. I don't think the lighting does this picture any justice tho, seems too harsh, and I find that white "dot" below the hands to be very distracting also. I took this image into PS and desaturated it, cropped it a little, and cloned out the white dot. Too me, these changes seem to bring out more of the message behind the image, but that could just be me. Just my thoughts...

    I also like the concept, it's just a bit of shame the actual photograph has some problems with it. I don't think the scan does it any justice, so the quality may just be down to the scan. I also find the hands a little bit out of focus. Anyway, I like mjs1973 idea of a B&W conversion, so for want of anything else to do on a Sunday morning here's my attempt:
