Agreed, as I said before hands are strong subjects....every time I see this pic I see a different trait to them...or catch some sort of detail that haven't seen before.

But there is one thing... it feels tilted...it's not.. but feels this way, probably because it was not shot from the center of the table and straight towards the subject...

And I can't believe I am about to say it but.... centering them is the right choice....

Great Work... looking forward to the rest of the series!
I knew that was coming sooner or later....funny thing is that the rest of the people did not catch that or did not gave it too much importance.
I noticed this right way when downloaded the pics to my PC. As you said the camera has some sort of angle which makes the shot un-centered, plus the elvow position adds to the effect. I agree no doubt this will look better with a well centered frame and maybe a more symmetrical look, but I can live with it....for future shots I will pay more attention to this cause is noticeable.....on the other hand a shot like this with this "flaw" might give a more relaxed and natural look.....I guess is dependable on the eyes of the beholder.

Thanks for your comments MK

Really different Rob.. I haven't read the rest of the thread, but this fellow's hands show that he is not an office worker but a real one I think the choice of B&W is outstanding. I might crop off some of that plain bottom (or might not), maybe half. Good contrast.

How did you know I've been smoking? :P

The tilt is not an issue for me... just pointing out... i think it works as is!

I really like the slight off-centre composition.
I can see it's deliberate, and the way it adds to the dynamic feel rather than a totally static centred composition is the right way to do this I think.
Also the slightly dirty tabletop fits in well with the gritty feel and sharp detail in the hands, when you do more in the series don't clean the other tabletops!

I don't like the vignette, I don't think it's really necessary and as Dray said it makes it appear haloed on the arms.

Thanks GB...I tried the crop but I think I like it as it is for the shadow on the table anf the proportion of the "frame".
Maybe when I have some more shots of the study IŽll change my mind though.

Ok dirty tabletops TBH I didn't noticed the dust until I saw it on my screen.
IŽll play with the vignette latter on according to the rest of the pics in the study...It might be how my monitors are set but ht e halo effect on both is subtle ans till now it does not bother me. IŽll print the pic to see how that looks.
    Thanks Paul
