    Goes in the Swamp

Photographed with Nikon N80 and 75-300 and SB-28 on Fuji Superia 200. Cropped some. I liked the light and would be interested in your comments and suggestions.

    Welcome ...uh... back I guess.

Anyway, great shot, I love the flow of the gator/croc through the frame. My only nitpick is the reflection in its mouth. Very distracting and unnatural, we expect their mouths to be dark inside. I would burn that area down if at all possible, and that would make this a very interesting shot.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

Thanks, Sebastian. I haven't been very active around here lately, but can't stay away for long -- you know how it goes.

This is an American Aligator. I actually liked the funky light - it reminds me of the crocodile in Peter Pan.

Smile Goes very well in the swamp!

Great to see an ancient living creature in it's natural habitat.I am sad a lot as i read how we are devouring our world' resources and at the same time killing of entire species.Well done and thanks for sharing.

    And you are still alive?

hey that's a plus...how far away were you? I really like the lighting in his mouth and I like the general look and "pose" he/she gave you but I think I would have liked to see a little more detail in the eyes and the face and have the overall pic retain more detail...I won't suggest a reshoot...
