    Get freaky at the club

One I shot a couple of months ago at a club downtown during a Goth burlesque show. I oversaturated the hair, then reversed the selection and applied a glow effect. The girl in the picture loved it, but I think it is a little over the top. Opinions?

    Wow,

I'm a little dumbfounded here The colors work for me, but the composition doesn't. The hair is right infront of her face, which adds a mysterious level, yet it's distracting. I kind of want to know more of what's going on, but also kinda don't

Nice shot and what an interesting subject.

I have to agree about the composition it just doesn't do anything for me. The colors are actually very cool. Really though the most important thing is that she liked it.

BTW...An Image like this really should be labled in the title as containing provocative content. This is the kind of image that some ppl don't want to be exposed to, or that parents are counting on filter software to keep from their children. That being siad I am not personaly offended by it in the least, but we don't want to run anyone who may be away. Thanks!

This is an interesting shot, and it's quite honestly the last thing I would expect to find in Kentucky. ;o) That being said, I like the way her skin and straps glow in this picture. It would be nice to see her left eye, which is covered by her hair.

Thanks for the heads up on labeling Provocative Content. That hadn't occurred to me. I certainly don't want to offend anyone.

In re: the pose, etc. these are all good comments. I would have loved to have her eye looking right at me at the instant I shot this. Unfortunately, I was shooting a "real time" performance and not able to pose them.

I made extensive use of filters and over saturation of color to put my own personal spin on the performance. I "artsied it up" so to speak.

Kentucky is not the first place someone would think of for performance art like this, I admit. This was one of the photos I could actually post here. I was asked to come down and photography their performance, as I know the girl in the picture personally.

Here's where you can find the complete gallery of photos from that night, if you want to see them. WARNING! Provocative Content (no nudity, though)~
