Heres an image I took yesterday when I was down by the sea, I was lucky enough to get close to a group of gannets. C+C Please!!

I prefer this shot for showing off the photo/prints, although I'd like to see the detail on the bird/how sharp it is just as a photographer. The only downside is that the tips of the wings look blurry, but it's a very nice shot overall and that doesn't take much away

Great capture. I like the composition but agree that the crop could be a little tighter. The wings are blurry but it adds a bit of character. The most important thing is that the head and eyes are sharp.

I like the stark blue, but wonder if it would be a stronger shot with clouds?

The good: good exposure, good sharpness and details.

The bad: bad head angle, bad heading; essentially bad perspective. And you nearly missed the eye.

Composition-wise, a tighter crop could be better. Not sure if this would improve if you shot it from a different perspective where you were since it looks like the bird was flying away from you. Usually good bird-in-flight photos have the bird flying at an angle towards you or flying across.

Anyhow, I'm assuming this is one of those traditional bird photos and hence my comments. If not, ignore them. Forget about what I said, and be happy with other comments
