nice idea. i think the problem here is the angle. it feels as if we're looking down on the shot, but i think taking it from a level plane would have made it nicer. after that, be sure to pick out an interesting subject. from this angle i don't know whether or not anything would fit that bill...

I like the idea but not the photo.

You have a good idea there somewhere with the fence framing the flowers but there is nothing in the photo that draws the viewer into the shot. Perhaps if there was a puppy or a child or someone in the flowers it would give the shot a focus that it doesn't have right now.

    Solution-go back, take more shots.

I think it's a good shot that's more interesting than the flowers by themselves. I think the stuff above the top rail and below the bottom is a distraction (but I like the wood texture in the rails) and I wish for the group of purple flowers to be placed off around one of the golden mean points.

The more I look at this shot the more I realize that there definitely is potential for a good image. I like the geometry/nature combination, the framing idea is a good one. I think what would make this a great shot is if there were verticals to close the gap between the lateral fence boards. Then the flowers really would be framed, rather than just lost between the boards. I'm imagining a shot closer up, possibly using the dangling legs of some people seated on the top board to frame the blooms, or something along those lines. Any photo using lines has to pull your eye through the entire photo. Good eye though, you were certainly on to something when you saw this shot.
