Beautiful shots. All of them are keepers, and there are some color things, but those can be easily fixed with PS. Love the second one, very crisp and beautiful colors. The other ones, the colors are a tad flat for me, bu even an auto-colors would fix it up a bit. Beautiful shots,

I think the second one really stands out, the light is warm (evening sun?) and brings out the tones of the cheetah superbly. His position and stare are great.

    Lovely shot

    Hello Shane

No duds in there for sure ! All of them are definatly keepers . The lion is my favourite . Very beautiful shot .

It seems that you have used the light very well . The cheeta , was that shot late in the afternoon ? Also a beautiful shot . Just wish you could have his whole tale in the picture .

Did you perhaps shoot these in the Serengeti National Park ?

Hope you have a few more of these to share !

    Regards
    james

    Re: Lots of Africa pics

I shot the cheetha in the Masai Mara in Kenya. Yes late afternoon, except the lion, early evening the sun was down, that was at Lake Nakuru... as well as the flamingos. I have the uncropped raw version with his tail still in the frame, I aggree about the tail. You know though when you crop to fit a format you have to loose something.

    thanks for you comments.

    Shane,
Definitely all are keepers! I think the first pic of the flamingos is my favorite, followed closely by the cheetah. It would be nice to have all of the tail, but it doesn't really bother me. The soft lighting is really nice. I like the lion shot, although I think I would have preferred a different angle a little more. Maybe if you shot from a little lower (from his level). Also, possibly a quartering shot rather than a side shot. All in all, these are great photos! Please share more.

    Chris
