    Fishing shack at Mystic Seaport

About a month ago I visited Mystic Seaport in Conneticut. Very interesting place with lots of photo ops. I was on the lower level of one of the fishing shacks keeping watch as my boyfriend ventured above to a forbidden area. I did snap a couple of shots and would like to know what you think.

    Nina,

This is an excellent composition and my only criticism is the blown out sections next to the leftmost buckets where the sun has peeked through. Perhaps a little deadning of the bright light is in order

I like how the boat and ladder frame the net, bouys and buckets and the subtle colours that peek through (bear in mind I'm viewing this on a laptop and my home monitor is much better).

    Nicely done

Roger Thanks for your comments. I was unsure about this one but your comments helped me realize that this is not a bad shot. I do like all of the interesting things going on in the shot and was somewhat dissatisfied with the cocloring but all in all I do like it the more I look at it.

    Nina,

Yep its 100% better on my monitor and that blown out white which I though was sun shinging through now looks like white paint. What was it?

The colours are much better and I really do like this shot.

You are right. It was white paint. Again thanks for sharing.

Interesting shot. I love the blandness of it, but not liking the overexposed area on the left. Also, the ladder on the right is split for me. It would be better to have either more of it or none of it at all. Nice shot though,
