First Post: Denali scenery

Hi all, after viewing your great images and reading your sensible comments for a while, I thought it was about time to post an image myself. Shot was taken in Alaska back in 1998. Camera used was a Canon A1 and the film used was Velvia 50. Sorry, can't remember any exposure times etc. Pls let me know what you think.

Great image, It seems a little dark but it works. Especially with the rainbow.
I hope to see more of your stuff, especially some more recent photographs.

A nice scene here. As mentioned, it is a bit (1/2 stop?) dark. It is also soft, though I can't tell if that is due to the compression. I also think that it could be cropped into a pano to make it a stronger image as there isn't much foreground interest here, and getting rid of the top layer of clouds won't hurt it, either.

I like the lighting on the mountain on the right, and the rainbow on the left is a definite bonus. Now, if only you could replace that bus with a grizzly!

Thanks for the feedback. It indeed shows darker than I expected. The original is brighter. I will look for some more recent material to post here.

This is a very nice shot. I also think maybe a bit dark, but it works. Maybe tweak some highlights out of it like around the colored areas of the mountain . . I like it as is though.

Agree with the half stop underexposed verdict, and also, I would have zoomed in at least another 15mm or so... just crouch down a bit, zoom in and you will have removed a lot of the uninteresting foreground and really focus the composition on the road / mountains and sky.
