Please critique!! (landscape shot)

Hi everyone,
I am after some opinions on the following shot. It is a picture taken from the top of Arther's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland. The view encompasses the West side of Edinburgh. Originally I was hoping for a warm looking sunset shot however the weather wasn't playing ball!
The pic has been altered to B+W in PS. Some cloning took place to remove some unwanted lens flare and levels/curves and unsharp mask applied.
Shot in RAW, F/22, 18mm, 1/5sec.

Beautiful view of the city and must be a beautiful spot to live. The few critiques I have are that, first off, the rock on the right, which just looks like a flat slate, is a tad difficult to determine if it's foreground or background. Obviously it's a rock in the foreground, but I had to look twice to find that out. The city itself also seems a tad underexposed, a contrast boost would help this shot. But great shot, and it can be fixed!

This has a lot of impact but I'm still working on the foreground (as interesting and as important as the city part) It looks like a rocky path to lead you down to the city and the field on the right looks like as if you could take a short-cut and jump off it into the town.
very good light all over and it's nice to see the white smoke in the distance.
This is a good one.

I think the shot is great; has impact, however it seems to me a bit dark, under exposed. Maybe it is just my monitor, but I'd like to be able to see whats on the right hand side....
Great composition though!
