Really nice light on this one. Not sure what the purpose of the wide area of black on the right side of the picture us ...maybe a little tighter crop?

The King strikes again! I love what's going on in the dark area to the right. Dark as it is, I can still see plenty.

Interesting that you opted for overexposure in the windows (as opposed to the Miss Aniela-style HDR, wherein the outside would be all-too-perfectly exposed). I think it works really well here.. the brightness outside emphasizes how dark the interior really is.

Great post work, as always. Second to none.

    Hahaha......the King........more the Joker.........lol

Her more recent stuff has some pretty well overexposed windows, I have done some of those perfectly exposed outside and inside shots and they just dont work for what I shoot.

Dray, your comments always mean so much:thumbsup:

Sorry I have not been here for a while, been through a Canon to Nikon back to Canon change over the last 6 months.........hope to post up some more stuff soon

I see very little in the right 20% as well as other areas. Calibration only does color, not 'brightness'. Any image dependent upon a precise 'brightness' value is in trouble when posted and viewed by many monitors. – Terry

The right side is not as dark on my other computer screen. It makes quite a difference. The texture of the ceiling and other areas is much clearer.

    Re: The Favourite Chair

The first thing that I thought after I saw it was, some of that right side black needs to be cropped out. I don't know if my monitor is off or not, but I also see the far right area as basically pitch black. The left side is dark too, just not nearly as much.

As for the photo, nice as usual! I like the statement it's making, and the way the beams of light show. Great work
