CLKunst - thank you so much for your feedback! I didn't know how it would be received for its darkness (shot after sunset) and lack of color. But I love silhouettes (and harsh directional lighting in general) so I couldn't resist
Greg - you are exactly right
Tyson - I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment.
Oh Mike there I disagree, I like light pastel shades.
It's a good shot, the question is did he jump or was he pushed ?
From the landing pose of the one filling the gap, he was pushed
There is a short cartoon on the DVD of Monsters Inc, which is almost exactly this photo...
It looks like someone picked it off with a slingshot... if so, nice aim Loupey!
nice shot... but i think it could benefit from some higher contrast amongst the birds and the sky. you have a beautiful line of silhouettes but the grey is slightly uncomfortable to me.
I love the shot though.
I don't want it, I just need it...to breath ...to feel ...to know I'm alive.
Has a funny feel to it. I might change the background to a brighter tone and see how it affects it.

I like it just the way it is. At first I thought maybe it needed to have some of the space at top and bottom reduced, but the more I look at it and hold paper up to screen, it is perfect the way it is. Nice capture.
Didache - I have thought about going B&W and even adding some noise to simulate grain. But I don't know PS well enough to pull it off yet - perhaps a file to play around with in the future.
SW - yeah, he was pushed You got me wondering about Monsters, Inc. though...
afdlips - thank you for being specific. I will definitely take that into consideration.
GB - always nice to get your take on things. I will play around with it to see what that does for me.
John - Thank you for the compliment!
CF - Thanks - I did play around with the crop for a while before settling on this version.
If anyone is interested, I have a few other versions that I shot that day plus a few from a few nights ago in the Nature/Wildlife forum in this thread:
