    Facepainting

    Taken yesterday as a friend of mine who is a Children's entertainer and facepainter decided to practice on some of our friends children.

    Lens - Sigma 70 - 200 f2.8
    @ 150 mm
    Shot at F8
    ISO 200
    Flash bounced from the ceiling - Vivitar 285HV set to 1/2 power

    Shooting with an Olympus Evolt E-510 and loving it

    Olympus Zuiko 40 - 150 F4.0 - 5.6

    Nice shot! I noticed you have a Vivitar 285 HV flash. Make sure you don't ever use a plain 283 or 285 because the trigger voltage is over 200 volts. The HV model is ok for digital but don't mistakinly use a non HV model. I have both from my Nikon F days and they look exactly the same other than the added HV after the number, Jeff

    Thanks Grandpaw. The "models" were happy with how they looked and so were their parents, which is all that really matters in the end I guess.

    As for the flash, I also have a 283 but it spend it's life as a remote slave and never touches the camera. Thanks for the insight. I remember reading that way back when I bought the 285HV but a reminder is always appreciated.
