Re: Engagement in the dark - What do you think?

Hmm. Great idea, and fairly well executed. I expected the actual couple to be a little lower profile from the title. I suppose you put a light at the top of the umbrella? Works, but also wish her legs were a little better illuminated.

The negative space is intriguing, but I may also try, as an expt, a crop to see what type feeling it produces. I suspect that both it and this one would work. Also, I would rotate the image CW very slightly, as I see from his leaning back and the tilt of the umbrella that it could use a little adjustment ..

It's a unique idea - and very well done. I would concur with GB re slightly rotating it, and also experimenting with the crop (I suspect there is just a tad too much negative space). Still, it's a very different image from the norm which is a thoroughly good thing.

Outstanding and very original - I have never seen anything like it.

I am not sure that I would change a thing even though at first I thought to crop closer into the couple. It says to me the seclusion of the kiss where your not aware of anything else so now I agree it is spot on.
