At the end of the Sirup Road 2005.

The last of the sap collection for 2005. The road leading up to these buckets is in the foreground and the general setting can be seen (albeit B/W) in the Gallery @

    The Sirup Road

This more or less completes this series for now.

Comments, critiques and more are welcome.

Pretty shot, but I think I'd like it even more w/o the sap collectors on the trees. I like the starkness of the photo, and the color (or lack of). The exp is right on. Might have been even better if you could have gotten a little closer and shot it with a wider lens, but this might also have distorted the tree lines.

Thanks for the comments! The buckets have been the thread of this series. I'll have some wider angle shots in the next few weeks as the forest floor starts to bloom.

I've had a large format (4x5) camera out in this area in the past, but I've just never been satisfied with the images on a screen without the file sizes being outrageous.
