the old church is not bad but i find your star burst effect on the street lights to be alittle distracting for your subject,.

    Love the lighting.
When you reshoot, try a vertical so no tops are chopped

I love the shot. Very gothic. I expect to see a brooding Caped Crusader perched on one of the ledges. The snow helps create atmosphere. I agree with Frog about trying to get more of the "tops" in the shot.

As Frog says, go vertical to emphasize the nice vertical lines in the building. Also, try adjusting the white balance. Your snow looks a little reddish/orange. Looks like a great building. I wish I had something like this close by.

    Re: The Door's Of Heaven

I really like it, but think I would like it better if the snow was whiter. It creates a feeling on royalness, of majestic superiority. Not sure I like how the left side twists, it makes the image feel unlevel (I can't tell if it is or isn't). I also wonder would it would be like with a person in there. Nice job,

    Re: The Door's Of Heaven

As for white balance, set your camera for raw and you can adjust in post edititng. I always shoot on auto wb and its right 90% of the time.
Personally, I think the snow is fine as it is a night shot and the snow is correct for the light that is reflecting off it.

    Re: The Door's Of Heaven

well im waiting for the girlfriend to get off work at 11, stoppin at subway to get a sub and then im gonna go shoot the church. Some of you suggested to shoot the church vertically, so im gonna try to go about it that way, ill try from another angle too because of the street lights ! wish me luck

I like the angle of your first shot better, though I agree it should be a vertical so as not to chop off the top.

In the second shot, the building behind the right gate is way too distracting.
