    Does this work?

I know the flower is in the center but with the additional purple flowers is this OK? Taken with my Nikon 18-200VR lens, Jeff

    Works for me.

I like that the purple flowers are mostly behind the main yellow one, so they don't detract much. I think a bit more contrast/saturation might help improve. Also try some lightening for more "pop".

Is this any better? As far as the purple flowers, I think that they add to the photo, Jeff

You achieved "pop" in your second one. Depending on what it is, of course, I don't mind "centered." I like your color palette here, your flower is sharp, and I like the background. Nice.

Most definitely works. But somehow I'd like to see more on either the top/bottom or left/right.

I know this is for critiquing but i don't feel i'm one to do so.. i haven't even posted a pic yet.. i just wanted to say this one really caught my eye... it looks so soft and "buttery" almost.. lol.. really beautiful... the purple flowers on either side in the background really balance it out...

No problem with centering, given how the background is working with the subject. Might have been interesting if you had of reflected some light up from underneath the main flower in the foreground only. S
