    do you feel the cold?

I did, taking these at -5C ... I tried to capture the cold so I could share it.
Unadjusted, apart from unsharp mask while resizing.
I think they have a slight colour cast - but it may be my monitor?

    I like #2, 3.

There is a cyan colour cast, but I don't mind it.

Re: do you feel the cold?

You know,- when I just saw your pictures, I said to myself - "well I have got pictures taken at -20, and it would be good to show them"... But when I looked at them, it really didn't seem to me in the photo that it was cold.. In other words, your pictures really makes me feel cold, they show the cold very well indeed. Maybe it's because there is no sun, maybe because there is a slight mist.

Re: do you feel the cold?

    Thanks for the comments.

Looks like I overdid the high-key attempt in #1 - everyone I've shown them to likes 2&3 more than #1.
I wasn't sure about removing the colour cast or not.
I think that it's how it felt on the day, it wasn't a pure white colour becuase of the rather leaden sky.
It was misty just after the snow had stopped falling, so I thought it was worth pulling off the autobahn to take a few photos.

Re: do you feel the cold?

I think the lack of sun it what gives the photos the right feel.
I've seen photos taken in obviously cold conditions (throwing a cup of hot water and it freezing in the air) where the fact that the air is completely clear, and it's sunny, doesn't give the same impression.

    Thanks for the feedback.
