    Discoloured Backhoe

I loaded a similar photo earlier on, but in the end I didn't like it, so I didn't post it up.

I've since played around with it a little more as I have learned a little more about Elements. I'm trying to take everyday photo's and make something from them. It's kinda hard sometimes, so I find this type of photography challenging. Hope you like it.

    Cheers,

I like what you are trying to do, but I don't think the focus of the photo should be on the ground, you should move the lighted part of the photo up a bit more so the viewer is drawn to the backho, not the dirt. Naturally you go to the brightest spot in the photo.

I didn't want the centre of the light to be in the middle of the photo, hence why it's at the ground. Perhaps re-framing the shot as well as re-adjusting the lighting effect might have the desired effect.

Sorry, I understood that you wanted it off-center and it looks really good like that, I just meant the main focus is the dirt... perhaps even maybe coloring that one hotspot a little would help. I do really like it though

I don't know why I like it but I do, so I'll be watching the comments you get here.

I do know I think the bright ground spot is where it should be. My eye goes to it but its position quickly leads my eye to the subject.

I would do another omni right on the tractor... there's nothing at the focus of the light-source.
