    A Digital Picture Of Britain

    Hello Everybody
I have had a picture accepted by the BBC for The Digital Picture Of Britain competition. For it to get shortlisted it needs to be rated by visitors to its web page.
    Here is the address
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/arts/a...ecord?Id=81269

Would fellow members here be interested in helping it along by rating it. The higher the rating the better chance it has of doing well.
    Many Thanks
    Tom

Great photo Tom. I recall seeing this awhile back and can't recall if you have cropped it any from the original? I do recall it getting positive feedback tho.
Anyway, congrats on making the short list - this pic deserves it. I give it a top rating.
    Good luck.

I love that picture! My dream place to live is Ireland or England, and anything having to do with either of the two makes me extremely happy, heh. Good job!

Great shot Tom I particularly like the depth and the scale with the shopper. I'm leaving for your side of the pond tomorrow evening. 4 days in London and 4 in Paris on one of the Brendan tours. We're planning another trip just for Ireland in another year or two. My family is from Galway I believe and I'd really love to see it some day.

MJS; Enjoy your holiday in Paris and London and then you will have Ireland to really look forward to.

I don't mind so much, but I would had preffered that you uploaded it here either directly with this thread or via the galleries. Then mentioning the rating thing.
It's a good photograph. Congratulations on getting a pic posted on the BBC.
It's an interesting 'slice of life' kind of photograph. Your composition is good, the placement of the woman and how you used a longer focal length to pull the street in.
I am not sure I care for the sepia tone though, but it works.
