Interesting shot. I love the colors in the shot, I'm just not 100% on the composition. Though I love the water, and the scene, I just don't see a strong enough subject for my eye to latch onto. My guess was the big tree, yet it seems too tightly cropped, or that I'm missing something. Great shot, but could be better,

Seb, First off. . .I find that I like this as it is entertaining with all its colors and textures. But it looks as if it is "wrong" and like the composition is not right, as Jared stated.. But somehow, and I really don't know why exactly, I feel that this works. It holds my interest and is pleasing to look at.

I think the reason its slightly unsettling is thhat it has mg, & bg but no fg. Eye popping color contrast & detail. Great comp. Lovely picture,
    Mark.

Hello guys, thanks for commenting. This is a shot I hesitate to submit as I too feel half satisfied with it. I like it yet I don't. My first impression is that it was possibly too busy with all the branchs on the main tree. I supose that a "naked" dead trunk would have been better here.

Mark: Interesting thinking. Perhaps it would feel more usual/comfortable with a defined foreground.

Then again, thank you all for commenting.
