    The day after...

Here is the continuation of my recent street series. Admittedly, the sky is extremely washed out but I kind of liked the way the buildings in the very background are fading in the light.

    Comments are welcome

Hi Seb,,,I believe it is called Aerial Perspective,,often seen in landscapes where the distants fades away towards the horizon...It is difficult to critique these images one by one..I would like to see them as a set..

The long lines of the steps and the vertical lines of the dark building are the most enjoyable aspects for me. But it also has good depth . The best of the series for me.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

    Re: The day after...

    Hi, Seb

At first, I thought "love the steps!" Then I thought the street and sidewalk were too light/empty. Then, looking at it from further away, I like how the lightness/emptyness of the lower left corner contrasts with the darkness/fullness of the upper right corner.

Weird. The white building on the left (and the building behind it as well) look to be suffering from some distortion. Yet the windows in the white building are aligned straight vertical. Must be an optical illusion caused by the leading lines of the steps.

Jurgen: Thanks for commenting. Here are the links for the 3 previous pictures of this series.

    Tom: Thanks for the feedback.

Loupey: I have been correcting barrel distortion until the windows you are reffering at look straight but there might still be some distortion or perhaps it is an illusion. Either way, I see what you see, the effect is odd. Thanks for commenting.
