    Dancing Across The Sky

Okay, Your all probably sick of my star trail shots, but i like to see what you guys think about them. Of all of the Photos i take, these are the funnest for me. Even though im not really doing anything other than just sleeping and then going to close the shutter i still ove doing them. \

This was taken just last month, hope you like it. This is about a hour and a half exposure.
    Thanks,
    Devin

A hour and a half or exposure? What camera do you use? How did you get one hour and a half of exposure?...
What do you mean 'how come photographers are so ugly all the time'? That's because they never have to stand in front of the camera.

Ziggy -- most any SLR, digital or film, allows you to open up the shutter for as long as you want. Depending on the model, you simply need a remote control or a shutter cord.

Of course if it's digital for that length of them, you have to account for the battery fade.

Back in the day when I was big into astronomy, I shot star trails and comets every chance I got. I think the shots of Hale-Bopp that I have are on Kodak 1600. Really grainy, but great color for a 30 second shot.

Seeing those star trails makes me want to go back out with the old FTb and give the skies another shot

Chris, That is what i have shot all of my star trails with. It's such a sweet camera. I use almost more than my Nikon N80. I love it, and really get back out there and do them.
