    Coots

No, not old coots. Coots, as in the birds.

Taken in Myrtle Beach last month. F5, 80-200mm f 2.8, Reala.

Which one(s) appeal to you and why?

    Re: Coots

    Hi Speed,

I like the second and last the best. The second because of the detail of the bird, and the last because of the overall composition. The last is my favorite. I like the ripples. However, I think I would crop it so the coot is closer to the top left corner. It would be nice if the log were in better focus too, little more DOF, but still a great shot.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Re: Coots

Speed, for me, the last one is the best. i like it because of the inclusion of the log adding another interesting element, and the reflection of the old coot. The others, in my op, are "typical" snapshots that one sees of friends or family that visited a Zoo. The composition, reflection and added elements of the log and ripples of the last shot make it my choice.

I like the second and last one as well, for the same reasons you gave. I added the first one because of the color reflected in the water (which I thought was nice, but not prize winning by any means), and the third one because there were two birds.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I appreciate the comments. As I mentioned to Paul, the second and last ones were the best IMHO. The second one for the detail, the last one for the environmental elements.

Thanks for the feedback. I do appreciate it.

It's great to hear from you buddy!

Glad you liked the shots. I get a good one occasionally.

    ;-)

Your favorite model is doing great. Here's a couple of recent shots of her. These were taken in January when we went to Myrtle Beach.
