Shadows behind Karen and Clarence spoil the image as they look darker and out of sync with the rest of the shadows wouldn't use that graphic artist again.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...
Clarence could use a softer soft-edge on his hair too. I might have had her do something else with her hair too, the way it parts to her back in a small strand. Course - we photographers tend to be much pickier than the client - I am sure the client was pleased with this result.
I'm also assuming that the aliasing problem in this shot was a result of too much compression for the web shot.
I really like the composition, it shows the domain and the people who will be providing the work. I am undecided on the shadow area around them. In some ways it looks like the typical shadow that appears when one uses flash and vertical alignment, but -- I like how it separates them from the background, too.

You did put this in the Critique forum, so here is what I see. To me the girls hair has plenty of light on it coming from the left side of the frame and lights her hair well. This makes me wonder why the left side of his face is dark and not equally lit up. Also I know it is tough with the white coats on but they seem to lack some detail. With the amount of light shining on her hair from the left I have to wonder why there is a shadow behind them on the left side at all. This just doesn't seem right. From the point where the girl's hair touches the top of her coat all the way down her back on the top edge of her coat to where it hits the shelf are patches of beige that shouldn't be there. I also think whatever that is in the background between their faces should not be there. If you look close there is a line going up the wall in the background between their faces where the color of the wall changes, probably the corner of the room but it still looks strange. I do like the over all layout, Jeff

Grandpaw critique is fine but you should have read the previous post. It said I didn't do the layout including the drop shadows on the people that was added by the graphic artist. This is a composite photo and where the wall changes color that is a seperate wall that was painted a different shade of gray...also used at the discrection of the graphic artist...you need to understand in the real world not everything is in our control.
Just for the record, I did read all of the posts. I was commenting on what was posted and listed my observations on what I was looking at. After all, the reason we post here is to see what was done right and also what could be done to make it better. If you only wanted comments on your work maybe a better option would have been to have posted just your own photo instead of how it was used by someone else. That way all our comments will only pertain to what you did. This might have been more appropriate in the Viewfinder forum showing us what you were a part of instead of placing it in the Critique forum, Jeff
