    Classic Chevy

I went on a walking tour of downtown San Diego this morning and stumbled upon a gathering of the Classic Chevy Car Club. Hope you like it.

very well executed. damn that car was real shiny! really nice, nothing to add to this other than maybe haveing a bit of blue sky in front of the car but that will probably be difficult me thinks. nicely done.

I like it, even I'm a Ford guy.
    Amazing color for a reflection

I really like this shot but I am wondering why the red and white car with the hood up is a double image? I see it is on a different panel of the car but I don't see why it would make a double image instead of just continuing on with a line splitting the car, Jeff

    Re: Classic Chevy

Thanks all for your comments. I really appreciate you taking the time. Grandpaw: good question, I noticed that too, while sitting in the grass to take the picture. The only thing I can offer is perhaps the angle of one panel is sufficiently different so as to capture a second reflection. I am not a physics/engineer mind so this sort of occurrence is merely a form of entertainment to me. Thanks again.

I love reflection shots. & this is a good one.

I really like the double reflection in the fender.

The only thing I would have liked is less grass & more sky....but that's a nit.

    Nice image.

This is a great shot David, nothing to complain about!

Grandpaw - the double image is because the door panels are convex (bow out) - pretty common on the old steel 4 doors. If you look close you can see it where the door meets the fender on the red '56 too.

I, too, like reflection shots and this one is great not only for the subject matter with classic chevys in a classic chevy but for the clarity and color.
Only thing I can nit-pik at is maybe you could have included all of the rear view mirror and door handle but I had to look hard to find those nits.

Thanks all for the great comments. Very nice of you. Frog, thanks particularly for pointing out the mirror and door handle. I have looked at this picture a dozen times since taking it on Sunday and did not notice. Wish I could retake the shot, now! Thanks.
