The City, and help with night photography...

Well, I got a chance to go out and play with my D70 tonight. First time with night shots. I got a few decent shots, but I think this is the best. You may think otherwise, please let me know!

This is a wonderful shot! Just crop the sky a little and next time shoot a little more to the left. Otherwise a great photo. I love the colorful lights in this picture. One day I'll get me a downtown L.A. shot like this.

Yeah, I just noticed as I was reading your lightning fast reply the photo was "cropped" on my screen, so does this look better? Out of the reast of the shots, this one was the best. For some reason, I had some camera shake on one, and left the shutter open WAY too long (30 secs) on another. Experiment....

Interesting shot. The second crop you did works much better, with less sky. I love the reflections on the water, as they add an interesting element to this picture. Great colors, and greaty composition. The one odd thing is those red lights on the right. I'm presuming those are radio towers, but you can't actually see the towers, just the red lights. A tad odd, but overall a good pic,

Thank you for the nice comments. I seriously didn't think any of my shots from last night would turn out since I was guessing with the focus and AF did work (It would just hunt). I'll play around in PS some more and try and get rid of those floating red lights.

I like the croped version - excellent
