    City Furniture

I was attracted by the chair which is composed of stones and wood. Please comment.

    Re: City Furniture

I think the lines in the photo lead the eye away from the bench to more interesting subjects - the tree's root system -the pipe that seems to go through the tree - the small bench populated by the guys in the yellow shirts. I think if you want the bench to be the subject, you need to isolate it more and perhaps be closer to get a better feel of its textures.

    Re: City Furniture

I'd agree with what Chunk says, I think the location has potential, but as shot at the moment my eye starts at the bench and is then sliding off down the steps to the left and almost slipping off the side of the image. The bench isn't doing enough to hold my interest, it almost becomes a struggle to keep returning to it. It is amazing how compsition can have such a strong effect.

    Regards,

I agree with the others. Also, the yellow people in the left take away from the subject too, maybe try cropping them out.

    Interesting location.

I really think that this spot has enough subjects to get several photos out of. I like the wall, the tree, and the bench as seperate pictures. It always seems that you find the best spots for your pictures.

    Re: City Furniture

I agree with what has been stated already. I think you were trying to include the other bench down the steps as well and thats where too much had become included in the image.

    Hi Yoyo,

I think this idea is very worthy but agree with the other comments. The other thing I'd add about this images is that I find the tilt/distortion distracting. If you are going to include the bottom of the stairs, I'd straighten the wall.

It is an attractive image and location. If you work this some more, I'd love to see the results.

Hi Yoyo, more like the kind of thing you do best.I would have gone down past the people and then shot up the steps with the eye leading you up to the empty benches. Maybe one with the people in and one without them. Good eye for a pic, thats you.
