I like the scene you got there, but I would may opt for trying a portrait crop just to see how it works. I do think the variance in the tree hight ends up guiding the eye pretty well though. Also, it looks like you may have gone a bit over board with the burning on the trees and were a bit sloppy on the edges.

Thanks for the comments n8: I did not do any burning on this shot. It was snowing fairly heavily at that moment. I did very little post doctoring of this shot.

Hmm...well, I certainly retract my comment on it then. It may be my monitor, but there does seem to be some grey haloing around the edges, and the tone of the snow on the trees led me to that comment.
